BREAKING: CAU SGA Faces Leadership Shake-Up Amid President and Vice President’s Removal

Clark Atlanta University’s 38th SGA Administration faces possible leadership transition after the reported removal of President Mikel Caldwell and Vice President Rokita Spencer. The circumstances surrounding their removal are unconfirmed.

According to the Clark Atlanta University Student Handbook, “Any member of SGA will be removed from office by two-thirds vote of those students voting in a university-wide election, if the current officer’s behavior, conduct, or demeanor reflects unfavorably on the office, the student body or the University.”

While there is an appeal process, there has yet to be any mention of an appeal as of right now. During the appeals process hearings are open to the student body. 

The Forward Together Administration, helmed by Caldwell and Spencer and elected in April 2026, campaigned on improving student life, developing student leaders, strengthening campus community, and expanding scholarship opportunities.

While the situation develops, students are left questioning what comes next for student government and who may step into leadership.
