On Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, Clark Atlanta University held an inauguration for its 37th Student Government Association (SGA) administration. Among those being inaugurated were SGA undergraduate president Javari Carlton and SGA graduate president Jorvis McGee. The undergraduate councils representing each classification, as well as the newly established graduate council, were inaugurated as well.

The "Redprint", a moniker given to the 37th SGA administration, has already marked history with their addition of the graduate council and the changes they have made to student life, including providing CAU students with free admission to homecoming events (excluding the homecoming tailgate). This administration has been forthcoming with its intentions to make a lasting impact at Clark Atlanta University, not only for its current community but also for the one it is building.

President McGee honored a family member who supported him during the occasion, and President Carlton commended his family for their hard work in ensuring his attendance at CAU. As the Student Government Association's presidents discussed the importance of family and the critical role CAU's community played in their lives, it became clear that much of the audience had also become akin to family. Many guests brought bouquets, gave warm applause, and shouted with joy throughout the ceremony. Notably, as undergraduate class councils exited the stage after being inaugurated, each class's chants could be heard throughout the audience. These included shouts of "Two-seven from Heaven" representing the junior class of 2027 and "Reign two-eight" for the sophomore class of 2028.

Clark Atlanta University's President, Dr. George T. French Jr., spoke at the event and emphasized the importance of leadership in today's world. He asserted that students attending Clark Atlanta University would be critical to the progress of not only their families but their communities at large. When speaking specifically about the Student Government Association, he described their leadership as the "heartbeat of the student voice". Clark Atlanta University alumna and host of the podcast "The Empowerment Zone", Dr. Ramona Houston, also spoke at the event, emphasizing to student leaders what it means to be a leader who builds a legacy.
