This past weekend, Revolt World took place in Atlanta. The three-day festival centered around Black creativity was an opportunity to network and showcase your talents. The experience was jam-packed with impactful panels, live performances, food trucks, meditation sessions, interactive booths, and more.

The scenic outdoor space in the woods prompted those who attended to disconnect from their phones and take in all the activities around them. Although it was a rather hot weekend,  there was a wide variety of food choices such as Caribbean food, Soul food, ice cream, lemonade, and even a McDonald’s truck giving out free french fries. There were multiple free water stations around the festival to ensure everyone stayed cool

One of the main events throughout the weekend was the Walmart-sponsored event “Black & Limited.” This station aimed to emphasize Black-owned businesses and get people excited to show their support. Once inside, you could receive free samples of Black-owned products such as Black Girl Sunscreen, The Doux, Camille Rose, Afro Unicorn, and others. There also was a station to make your own shirt with the saying “Be A Megaphone For The Black Creators You Love.”

Of course, you can not bring up Revolt World without mentioning the musical performances. On Saturday night, there was a Hip-Hop set performed by Cash Cobain, Rob49, Offset, and other up-and-coming rap artists, as well as a performance by Mariah the Scientist. Additional live shows like “Caresha Please” and “Drink Champs” recorded their show live at the festival.

Revolt World 2024 was an eventful experience filled with culture, lifestyle, wellness, and music. A big thank you goes out to the event planners, sponsors, and volunteers, who came out to ensure a wide variety of events for everyone to participate in and make last weekend a huge success. Next year’s festival is one to add to your calendar.
